It is a knee disorder that is common among active athletes, usually in children and adolescence. Osgood-Schlatter Disease<\/strong>light, <\/strong>It occurs as a result of pulling and irritation of the patellar tendon (tendonum patellae), which is located under the kneecap (patella) and connects to the upper bone in the knee.<\/p>

The bone growth plate (epiphysis) under the kneecap becomes irritated and swollen. This condition causes pain in the front area of the knee and makes movement difficult. The disease is usually unilateral, but can occur in both knees.<\/p>

The exact cause is unknown, but excessive exercise or sports, rapid growth, lack of development of muscles and tendons, and inadequate rest may be effective in the formation of this condition.<\/p>
